The First Meeting

First Weigh in Results

Date: 3-21-05
Weight: 216.0 (this is better than last fall when I joined, because I was 225.0 then)

Measurements:
Right Upper Arm: 12-3/4"
Waist: 40-3/4"
Hips: 49"
Right Thigh: 30-3/4"

I will check the measurements again once per month, and weigh in once per week at the meetings.

So far today I have done very well at sticking to the program, I planned all my meals out in advance today. I am allowed 26 pts per day, with 35 'flex points' I can use for the week.
For breakfast I had a quaker oatmeal square (4 pts), for a morning snack I had 15 fat free pretzel nuggets (3 pts) and for lunch I had a Weight Watchers Smart Ones ziti frozen meal (5 pts). Tonight for dinner I am planning 4 oz lean steak (5 pts), 1 baked potato (1 pt), string beans (0 pts), 1 tbsp fat free sour cream (1 pt). This will only be 19 pts so I have to figure something else in - maybe a snack after dinner.

I get off work today at 430 -- and plan on going to the gym at 7pm. Wish me luck :-)

The Last Supper

My first Blog entry! I am joining weight watchers again tomorrow, for the 4th time if my counting is correct. The previous times I have had trouble sticking to 'journaling' because I hate writing things by hand. I love to type however, so I figured this time I'll try a weblog. Perhaps this will help. I doubt anyone will read this, but just knowing that there is a small possibility that someone might read it makes me a tad bit more accountable.

In the past, one of the reasons I have failed at sticking to a diet and exercise plan is that if I mess up, I figure well I've already blown the week. May as well slack off now and start again next week. And I have done that countless times over the past few years.

Tonight for dinner I made spaghetti (wheat noodles) with garlic tomato sauce and meatballs, and garlic bread with cheese. Definately not a weight watcher friendly dinner. But hey, it's my last supper so to speak. Because this time, I truely plan on sticking to it. I have to. I don't want to wear a size 20. I don't want to shop at Lane Bryant anymore. I want to buy clothes at the Gap again, I want to become more healthy, and I want to lose my double chin.

So here we go! Tomorrow after the first meeting I will post my current weight, measurements, and pictures.
